A Ladder Apparently To Rich For My Walmart Blood

I don't understand why

I hope someone with ladder knowledge can help me with this one.  I recently saw an ad on craigslist as shown in tile one.  I need a ladder like that.  Since it boasted it was a sacrifice at $80 because it's normally $300, I did some quick googling.  I found that it's around $250 at Lowe's, but I also found what looks to be a very similar ladder for $80 at Walmart.  Benefit of the doubt, I figured, since I know nothing of ladders, I would ask what the difference is.  Looking at the three pictures, I would be hard pressed to find the differences in the pictures.  So I asked the guy/gal about it.  They said I wouldn't be able to find this ladder at Walmart.  I shared the link, not out of spite, but just to really find out what the difference is.  Then they stated "Maybe your better go to Wal-Mart".  I think [s]he meant to say "Maybe get your butt to Wal-Mart".  I didn't think of that before.  Maybe it was a good deal I found.  Or, it was an insult as to say that my current class level is more Walmart than Lowe's.

Anyhow, I'm still not giving up total hope on this ladder debacle - or laddebacle.  I really want to know what the difference could be.  They are both rated 250 lbs, which is good because my ice cream has almost got me to that point.  But I digress... What is the $170 difference other than a brand name?
