WebSocket using Node Socket.io Notes
My previous experience with websockets involved a server running on Ruby on a linux server and Chrome setting up the WebSocket object allowing two way interaction between client and serverRubyruby is version 2 and capable of running the websockets server ruby 200p648 20151216 x8664linux and my previous experience also showed that you can connect to MySQL via ruby However after some research it may not be the best optionPHPPHP is able to run a websocket server but I found that it is not a good option because it uses a lot of server resources Since that was the origin of the issues I did not look into this solution any further It also used php S as the server which is suggested in the PHP manual to not use in a production environmentPythonPython was my next step as I have more experience programming in Python than I do in ruby however Pythons websockets library uses python 3 There are a most likely lot of native linux programs that use the installed python version 2718 that makes me not want to use this option The jump to Python3 is not backwards compatible The solution to this is to have both Python2 and Python3 in the same box Every time Ive done this in the past has been met with many problems some of the with the OS itselfOn the offchance Python would be an option I upgraded my linux server to Ubuntu 2004 which comes standard with Python3 I created a test

Keep your envelopesPrepare yourself to gather a lot of documentation I watch a lot of true crime tv so having to collect all of these documents of my previous family members is quite exciting for me Most of the tips and mistakes that I learn along the way are on the Finding Genealogical Documents post Here I just wanted to make some quick notes about the documents in the simplest termsI have read that consulates vary on their requirements so its important to find your consulate and find the requirements Im planning on getting more than the required documents to be extra prepared For instance Ive read that I would only need my Great Grandfathers Certificate of Naturalization from the USCIS but I found and ordered copies of his Petition of Naturalization and his Oath to become a US citizen in 1921 I actually found those by accident which Ill talk about how in Finding Genealogical DocumentsIn my case your case will probably vary Ive needed to acquire birth certificates and applicable death certificates for everyone in my paternal line from me to my Great Grandfather I also need birth and death certificates for all of their wives ie my mom Grandmother etc And then all of the marriage certificates and licenses I can find between them If theres evidence of any divorces mismatching last names on any women along the line I would need any divorce decreesOf course all of these documents youll need to get certified copies And then

The first thing that Ive read or seen on videos everywhere Ive one which I have echoed a few times already is as soon as you know you are eligible book your consulate appointment My wait time was 2 12 years for Los Angeles I read that the wait time was 8 years right before I made my appointment If you have nothing but time like not me you can take all of your documents and go stay in Italy for a few months and get it done a lot quicker but for me I waitHeres a map that I made that I thought would be really quick to whip together until I realized that a few states are split up by counties that I had no idea where the county boundaries were It has all of the consulates on a map that represents the contiguous United States It was a pretty good geography lesson for me thoughThere was a phone system for the Los Angeles consulate that I had to pay 16 for the call to book my appointment About 6 months later they added the ability to make your appointment online Im not sure what the cost is but the calendar is accessible after you create an account so you can see what the wait time may be like Last time I checked was a couple months ago and the next available seemed to be August 2023 Here is the link to that system for the Los Angeles consulate

Police light bar schematic diy police light bar
I have gotten a few comments asking for the schematic for the circuit that I used for the police light bar You can check out the original blog story here It even has a cool videoI have yet to make a film projects with it but I did get to mount the magnet mounts to the bottom and stick it to an Impala to see what it looks like Doesnt look badBasically the 556 chip is two 555 timers in once casing The way Im using it here is I have both sides set up to blink an LED But instead of blinking two LEDs one for each side I have the first 555 pins 16 turning on and off the other 555 pins 813 C1 is a smoothing capacitor which makes the switching on the 555 quicker I had a lag on half of it where it would seem to rampup to turn on R2 and R3 control the speed of the timers along with C2 and C3 however I just adjusted the resistor sizes The 68K ohm controls the on and off of the other side while the 470 ohm flashes the LEDs much quicker when the second half of the 556 is turned on You can also replace both of these with some potentiometers so that you can adjust the circuit as it operatesThen to use a larger current on the output I had originally used a darlington pair of BC547 or other smaller resistors but wound up
