TSA Strikes Again!

Okay, here's a distaster waiting to happen:

First off, you can click the picture to the left to see the full view and read the article for yourself. It came out a while ago and I haven't heard any more about it, but this was taken out of a USA today.

Seems that, in an experiment, Dallas and Fort Worth airports will allow people without tickets to go to the gates. In addition to the long lines at security already getting longer due to hightened security and new machines like the 'backscatter x-ray', lets add more people so we have to get the the airport even earlier!!! Yes!!

Anyhow, just say I want to go to the gate to get some Blue Burrito (Mexican restaurant with great fast food only found in Sky Harbor Airport, or Flagstaff) what would I need to get through security without a ticket...

Have to be a guest at Grand Hyatt hotel/Westin Hotel & be checked against a terrorist watch list!!

WTF? There's no way a terrorist could get a hotel room... Sure, air training, fake passports and paperwork, higher American education, but a hotel reservation?? No, that's high security there, right?

And then the list, well, maybe it's logic, but don't you have to be a terrorist to be on a terrorist watch list? Or is racial profiling okay now? If it is, great! If it was the IRA (because I look Irish) instead, I would be happy to have the authorities question me - I'd have answers and no weapons.

Anyhow, like I said, this was an article from a while back and I haven't heard anything else, nor can I frequent my local Blue Burrito without an airline ticket. Just struck me as funny what could be used sans the boarding pass.

makes me scared.
